NDIS providers deliver supports under one of Australia's most detailed human services regulatory frameworks. The NDIS Practice Standards, the NDIS Code of Conduct, worker screening, incident management, complaints handling, behaviour support and restrictive practice obligations together create expectations that extend well beyond holding a registration certificate. Providers must be able to show not only that policies exist, but that governance, workforce capability, safeguarding, records and everyday practice reflect the requirements participants rely on.
The Planning and Practice Hub works with registered and unregistered NDIS providers, emerging organisations and Boards to strengthen the systems behind compliant and capable service delivery. Support spans registration and audit readiness, policy and procedure development, governance and risk frameworks, incident and complaints systems, workforce screening and capability, and service model and quality improvement for supports including supported independent living and complex care.
A particular focus is practice assurance: testing whether the controls described in policies are actually understood and applied by workers, leaders and supervisors. This includes examining induction, supervision, incident learning, participant feedback, restrictive practice authorisation, behaviour support implementation and the evidence that demonstrates requirements are operating in practice rather than only on paper. The result is governance and quality systems that leaders can oversee, workers can use, and participants can trust.
